Director of Sales; Central Region

Position: Director of Sales, Central Region

Territory: US Central Region (see territory map)
Responsibility: Manage sales territory, selling Comba cellular and public safety/LMR solutions to qualified system integrators
Preferred residence location:

  • Texas: Major city/area: Houston/Dallas/Fort Worth/Austin
  • Illinois: Chicago

Responsibilities

  • Attain or exceed annual revenue objective
  • Develop and implement plan for identification and penetration of System Integrator accounts within the territory – with emphasis on major/key accounts
  • Continual communication with management regarding opportunities, volume product forecasts/needs, progress on major mod to long term projects
  • Develop relationships with ownership/management of key System Integrators
  • Ability to recognize SIs with potential to sell Comba solutions
  • Ability to recognize SIs with large volume/project potential
  • Identify SIs who are seriously in the DAS business – public safety or cellular
  • Work closely with key/major SIs to assist in positioning Comba in their major project opportunities
  • Assist SIs in utilizing Comba solutions in RFP/bid opportunities
  • Work closely with Sales Engineering and Product Management to support customer’s technical needs or issues
  • Travel: Ability to travel 50-60%+, occasionally on short notice
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) for identification and forecasting of major opportunities with SIs
  • Provide forecasts for major opportunities – revenue forecasts, product forecasts
  • Work with Marketing and Product Management to provide input regarding competitors’ products, changing needs/requirements in the marketplace, input from SI customers, etc.
  • Participate in national or regional trade show events
  • Present webinars to System Integrators regarding Comba products/solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of sales success selling In-Building LMR and commercial/ cellular DAS solutions/infrastructure – preferably to the System Integrator market
  • Strong knowledge of the reasons why DAS is required – for LMR and commercial/cellular
  • Strong knowledge of typical DAS public safety and cellular architectures – including BDAs, fiber DAS, antennas, passive components, etc.
  • Knowledge of public safety in building ordinance and performance requirements, including importance and need for System Integrator OEM training and certifications
  • Knowledge of cellular operators general DAS requirements – including compliance with KPIs, when off air signal source is appropriate versus onsite signal source, understanding of which bands are deployed by each of the 3 operators, etc.
  • Relationships: Established networks within target channels
    • Public Safety – System Integrators; licensee/network operators; AHJs
    • Cellular – System Integrators; influencing organizations
  • Relationships with distributors/working knowledge of how to interface and work with distribution partners (for fulfillment of small System Integrator orders)
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor, and also in a fast-paced, team oriented, cross-functional and highly dynamic environment
  • Communications skills: Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Productivity skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce CRM experience preferred
