The Inside Sales position will play a vital role in helping the Comba sales team and sales directors by providing both administrative and customer/distributor support. Their responsibilities are focused on ensuring smooth sales transactions, improving customer satisfaction/retention, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the sales team.
Key Resposibilities:
- Customer Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between the sales team and all customers/distributors, managing inquiries, providing information, and addressing sales concerns.
- Communicate with customers via phone and email.
- Order Processing:
- Processing and entering all sales orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with Operations to help prompt order fulfillment.
- Quotation and Proposals Assistance:
- Prepare and deliver sales quotes and proposals for Sales Directors, new customers, and Distributors.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure correct and prompt information.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain, organize, and keep up-to-date customer information, orders, and account contacts within CRM.
- Help to ensure Data Accuracy and consistency within the Comba CRM Platform.
- Product Knowledge:
- Develop a solid understanding of Comba offerings to effectively communicate features to potential customers.
- Provide product information and support to customers.
- Sales Reporting:
- Help to generate and compile sales reports for analysis by sales leadership.
- Provide insights into sales performances, trends, and customer feedback.
- Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve customer issues and concerns in a prompt and effective manner.
- Work with Operations to ensure a prompt resolution.
Requirements:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Sales, Marketing, or similar), but not required
- Relevant experience matters more than a specific degree
- Experience
- 2–5 years in inside sales, sales support, or customer service
- Experience working in a B2B environment (distributors, OEMs, or similar).
- Comfortable handling order entry, quoting, and customer communication
- Skills
- Strong attention to detail — accuracy in orders and quotes is critical
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks without slipping through the cracks
- Clear and professional communication (email and phone)
- Able to solve problems without needing constant direction
- Comfortable working with different teams (Sales, Operations, customers)
- Solid working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and general business systems
- Experience with ERP or CRM systems is a plus
